Hi! I’m Kristi Reneau, creator of Healthy Mama, No Drama, a community to inspire and empower people on the journey to a healthier self. I’m so glad you’re here! Whether you’re pursuing physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual health…or maybe all of the above…I hope this can be a place for you to receive encouragement, information, recipes, and tips for your journey. After all, my friend, healthy living doesn’t have to be overwhelming. So, let’s make it happen!
Health. On the surface it seems like a fairly simple concept. But, that one simple word can mean so many different things to so many different people. The pursuit of health can feel as complex as the definition. For some, that means pursuing physical health. For others, the priority may be mental or emotional health. And for others, it may even require a focus on spiritual health.
My health journey began as a pursuit of physical health; the desire to make conscious decisions about the products I was putting in and on my body. Over time, my understanding of true health grew. Life brought changes, new obstacles and hardships, and a great opportunity for growth. I became more aware that my health (and the health of my growing family) extended beyond just physical health. I began to see the need for making conscious decisions regarding my mental and emotional health too…and helping my family do the same. It’s been a process…a journey. There were times that the journey felt incredibly overwhelming. Yet, the more I learned, the more I wanted to keep going.
And that’s really where the heart for this community was born. I’m so thankful for this journey I’ve been on. But…the saying “it takes a village” comes to mind when I think about the last several years of my life. It’s so much easier to pursue health when you have others pursuing it with you. Community creates a sense of safety, it offers a place for sharing new ideas, practical tips, encouragement, accountability, and more. And that’s precisely what I want this community to be. I want to help make the journey to true health something that is doable, something that feels tangible, a goal that is not paralyzing or overwhelming. I hope you’ll join me.
